Petey Wheat Straw!

Everyone who knows me knows that I believe that everyone needs a buddy. Grant needed a buddy, so I had Clark. Timmi needed a buddy, so we got Leo. Dave needed a buddy so we got Andy. Now Betty (the pasture dog) finally has her buddy! Meet Pete- a Great Pyrenees mix who came from a rescue in Shawnee. When they found him he was so matted up, that they had to shave him! Poor baby better get to growing some hair, b/c winter is approaching!

Happy Birthday to Dad!

This was #57 for Bobby. Clark painted him a picture of the new dog- Petey Wheat Straw and Grant drew a picture of Bobby's favorite animal on the place- one of the roosters! Clark wrote in his card, "Happy Birthday Dad. I'm glad I was born into this family and I'm glad I was born your son." Needless to say, Bobby couldn't help but tear up at that! Clark has always been so tender hearted. :)

Ho! Ho! Ho!

An exciting Christmas was had here in the Mallett household. I think everyone got what they were wishing for (and Clark got MORE than he wished for!) Santa delivered a sweet little kitten who he aptly named "Kitty." Unlike the Christmases of the past, the day was NOT spent playing video games! She has proven to be a much better source of amusement for the whole family. At the rate we are going, we are going to have more animals than our dear friends, the Hortons. Although I hear that THEY got a goat for Christmas... huh- not going to even try to keep up with that. We've done the goat thing and it wasn't as enjoyable as anticipated, but SHHH!! Don't tell them that :)

Tarpon, tarpon EVERYWHERE!

There are tarpon all over the place in Cayman. Did you know that a tarpon can grow to be over 8 feet long? They are really quite ugly fish- and they aren't good to eat- and there aren't many sharks near Grand Cayman to prey upon them- so they are quite abundant. One of our favorite restaurants is right on the beach and the tarpon come up near the water's edge. The boys feed them our dinner rolls (hey- we don't need the carbs anyway!) We've been going to this restraunt for years and this is the first time I've noticed (or maybe it was new this year?) a sign for photo ops. Clark took these pictures...

We have LIFT OFF!

After a week of windy weather in Grand Cayman, the boys FINALLY got to parasail on Thanksgiving Day. Whew! Here's the lift off! (Never mind when I tilt the camera... I thought it would auto correct the orientation. Just tilt your head... you get the idea!)

It's Beginning to Look a LOT like Christmas!

I know, I know... it's not even Thanksgiving yet! I've always been a bit zealous in my Christmas preparations, and now I've got the Christmas Creations people on board. The guy that installed our lights on the house last year learned that I have a tendency to keep adding to the project, so THIS year he got our house done first. As in- October 25th! I've been itching to turn the lights on ever since but I was getting a bit of teasing from Bobby. I made it all the way to November 15th and I turned those babies ON! The middle of November is close enough to Christmas for me. I KNOW that I can never get my Christmas cards out before my dear friend, Susan... so at least I can beat her to the decorations! :)

Scentsy on Fox News!

Scentsy- the "little" company I'm a consultant with, was recently on Fox News! Yay!! I love Scentsy!!
