Sew cool!

Clark has been presenting each family member with a stuffed animal complete with new custom-made outfit. So far he's made clothing for about 5 animals out of various old scraps of fabric he rounds up. We get a lot of Mamo's old pieces and he manages to turn them into capes, masks, pants or hats for his animals. This was an interest he first developed about this time last year which prompted me to buy him a sewing machine and a "how to" sewing DVD. It wasn't until after this sizable purchase that I realized it required ME to help him sew (which I LOATHE!!) The aggravation of it all made me put up the blasted machine and told Clark that his Mamo would teach him how to sew. Here we are a year later and the poor boy is still putting together outfits with staples and hot glue! I keep thinking that when we move into the bigger house he'll be able to keep the sewing machine out (without using valuable school work space) so he's sure to learn then! Here's a pic of some of his creations... even Grant has gotten in on the action and made a few himself!!
